Aged Care visitors allowed from October 11th

1 Oct 2021
2 vaccinated visitors over 12 allowed per day

From October 11th 2 visitors per day aged over 12 who are fully vaccinated will be permitted to visit residents in Aged Care.  This will be a welcome relief for the thousands of people who have been unable to visit loved ones for almost 3 months.  NSW Health will continue to work towards allowing visits from those under 12 years old.
The Premier has asked people to recognise the risks that remain and exercise caution, not visiting if feeling unwell or showing any symptoms.
“We may take a pro-cautious approach, because we are concerned about the complexity and the consequences in those settings.” said Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant
